This antenna used for what???


A nearby neighbor has this monstrosity smack dab in the middle of their back yard.As you can see on the bottom left of pic the roof tv antenna. This thing is tall. What is this antenna used for? I also ask because i am having sporadic problems with my wireless internet and also getting no bars on either of my 3 different cell phones. Both customer service reps said i have strong signals on both items.Thanks for any information.
Oh i live in one of the beach cities here in the O.C.

Yeah, something like that. My step-dad have that kind of antenna in the backyard, not exact same kind, but same idea. You can use HAM radio or simple CB radio.

sure but he/she would only tell me what they want me to know. Thats why i brought it to your attention. Plus to see if thats whats causing interference with my cell and my wifi.

I agree that it's like HAM
if it's truly what's causing your problems he could be in trouble, I don't think ham operators are allowed to cause interference

I don't know what's bigger, the antenna or the image size of that pic

You might want to contact the city in which you live, odds are you need a permit for such a big antenna. It almost looks like a cel tower.
