It's stupid to "randomly" give certain people at the airport security checkpoint an extra going over when all of the 9/11 hijackers all shared a few key characteristics:

Spoiler:

Then again, I'm sure that the powers that be (those who designed these brilliant questions: "Have your bags been in your posession since you packed them?" and "Has anyone else given you anything to bring on board" which worked great up through September 10, 2001) know what they're doing and are implementing the best screening techniques, as usual. It's an unpopular position because profiling is bad and un-American, afterall.

Damn, I loved those games. I must have had all of them. Fond memories of my Commodore 64.

Our "free will" is mostly an illusion.

You don't need a new pair of pants. The ones you have look just fine.

We need to treat our poor and homeless with a LOT more compassion.

1. David Wright isn't all that great.

2. Facebook/MySpace/whatever are pointless and need to be shut down.

3. I actually think Bush is doing a pretty decent job. I mean it's not perfect, but overall I approve.

People should have to apply for a license to have children

Anyone who gives sports more than a passing interest is pretty sad

And on the same line, fantasy football is just as "nerdy" as Dungeons and Dragons

-Affirmative Action should be abolished...applicants for jobs, positions, college, etc. should all be assigned a random number and judged/accepted/admitted based on merit alone
-Racial Profiling is not the worst thing in the world...and can actually serve a useful purpose
-The Halo games are terrible
-Nintendo consistently produces the best consoles and games...period
-We should be drilling for oil in the United States and off our coasts
-Superman is the worst superhero of all time
-The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy are awful, awful movies
-Titanic (the movie) was a disaster (no pun intended)
-I believe wholeheartedly in The Constitution of the United States of America
-States' Rights are more important than Federal Laws
-Guns don't kill people...people kill people
-China is the biggest threat to freedom abroad
-The United Nations is one of the biggest problems facing the world today
-Universal Healthcare, subsidized by the government is a terrible idea
-Illegal Immigrants have no right to use public hospitals, schools, etc., etc.
-Former President Jimmy Carter should be tried for treason
-President Bush is in no way the worst President of the United States
-The Supreme Court of the United States is the most powerful branch of government/the Supreme Court of the United States has too much power
-Domestic Policies should NOT be influenced by other countries' own beliefs/customs/policies
-A small part of me still believes that 2Pac is still alive
-Ja Rule > 50 Cent
-We will never know the truth about the assassination of Former President John F. Kennedy
-The Government has proof of extraterrestrial lifeforms
-While I do not agree with the policies of the South during the Civil War, I acknowledge that based upon the United States Constitution, the Southern Confederacy had every right to secede from the Union if they so desired

I could probably list a lot more, but I need to get some sleep.

Without reading the thread...

#1.) Religion is probably a sham.

#2.) The Beatles are tremendously overrated.

#3.) Marijuana and other drugs are used by the weak, who can't figure out a way to have a good time without fucking up their lives and ruining the lives of others in the process.

Not agreed at all.

Also, MySpace is beyond stupid, as is any other website of its kind.

Also, (and this is a strong one) too many men are absolutely neutered by their wives, instead of being in a marriage where both the man and the woman have equal say, influence, and respect the opinions of one another. And don't give me that "it doesn't work that way" bullshit, because I'm proof it does.

I am quite down with this. I agree. But ha I won't mention which of it I like. Lets just say one that comes to mind rhymes with Toxic by Britney Spears.

In keeping with the theme of one of the topics being discussed here:

A drink with 4 different types of Vodka is not a girlie drink just cuz its pink.

Abolish the penny and round all cash purchases to the nearest nickel.

I mean really, the US Mint is producing these things at a loss. For nostalgia sake no less.

Hmmm, then let me rephrase...Any religion is the root of all evil. How's that?

Now to comment on a few others:

MySpace/Facebook - Started out with good intentions but once corporate America gets a hold of it, it is gone forever.

Top 40 - No it is bullshit, no matter which way you cut it. The formula is there, just different faces for the same melody.

Reality TV - Yes all of them suck. Including the most popular reality show of all, the news.

Superman - He is the worst in my book.

Illegals - I agree with the access to public services, but there is a great issue at hand with that.

The Beatles - Overrated...might be a little to strong. Given all the credit is a better phrase, but I do think they have made a major contribution to music.

Bush as the worst president - Sorry I think old Ronnie win that one.

Ja Rule > 50 Cent - I have a better one the last true hip hop album > anything that has come out since Tha Chronic

David Wright - Defensively amazing, hitting not so much

Guns - Guns do kill people, since it is an extension of your hand.

Nearly every opinion stated in this thread is popular, and you'll find no shortage of people to agree with any of them -- especially on the internet.

I think Neversoft got it right in Guitar Hero III. The note charts are beautiful, and the timing window is perfect.

If I said that in the video game thread, I'd get lynched.
