we've done this with the kids a few times. Everybody loves it. Works best if you do all the prep before eating the tablet. Cut up a bunch of fruit and have it all ready to go beforehand. Salt & vinegar potato chips and different types of cheese are fun to to try, too.

I just bought some grapefruit and dark chocolate to try. If all is well ( and tastes good) I'll try other stuff..
so did these tablets work?

Re: Lemons taste like Candy! It's the Miracle Berry

Just conducted my "experiment" and here's what I found.

Grapefruit was very good. I've never really eaten it before so the prep was a bit of a nightmare. I ended up just removing as much of the pulp as I could. I dont know if it's normal but at least an inch of pulp? Anyway, once the fruit was ready I halved a tablet and let it dissolve.

I think I should have waited a min before starting to eat, but I started in right away.

At first it was a little tart but by the third or fourth bite , it was very sweet. Almost to sweet. I couldn't eat all the grapefruit but it was yummy.

I have another grapefruit so I may try again tomorrow but I haven't decided. I want to try it with a good beer at some point . I dont like beer but I've heard that Guinness is like chocolate milk..

Any suggestions on what else to try?

Re: Lemons taste like Candy! It's the Miracle Berry

Here are some notes I took after our second flavor tripping party:

Great:
Lemons
Limes
Oranges
Strawberries
Blueberries
Kiwi
Pineapple
Mango
Cherry Tomatoes
Balsamic Vinegar
Salt & Vinegar Chips
Cranberry Juice
Prune juice (tastes like raisins)
Cheap Vodka (tastes like water)
Cheap Tequila (tastes like much more expensive tequila)
Apple pucker (tastes like jolly rancher)
Guinness (tastes like chocolate milk)

Okay:
Apple
Green Bell peppers
Ginger
Jalapenos
Hot Hungarian peppers
Pickle slices
Clamato
Kraut juice
Grapefruit juice
Worcestershire Sauce

No Change/Not Worth It:
Grapes
Bing Cherries
Bananas
Radishes
Scallions
Ketchup, Mustard, Buffalo sauce, BBQ sauce
Brooklyn IPA
Cake
Ice Cream

As you can probably guess by that list, a few people went a little nuts and began trying everything in the cabinet and refrigerator. We had a pretty sizable guest list, so we were able to try many different things. As suggested earlier, we prepped everything ahead of time and noshed once our friends arrived. It was a lot of fun and we hope to do it again!
