I've never been a fan of his music (I can get through it without changing the station if my girls are in the car), but I've always thought he was pretty funny. He seemed pretty quick and grounded on that John Mayer Show or whatever I saw a few years ago.

Is Funny Or Die a Judd Apatow creation? His lackies are in videos all over that site.

I am continually annoyed by the fact he is a talented guitar player.

Will Ferrell and Adam McKay founded it I think... Apatow is close with them.

I see.

The James Franco skits are hilarious.

I'm also not a huge fan of Mayer's songs. I made it through Continuum, and that was ok. The John Mayer Trio was pretty good too and IMO the best work he's done.

My thing with Mayer is that I feel he is one of the best pure guitarist around. That isn't saying a whole lot when comparing him to other guys that are around right now but he's very talented. I think he would be great if he latched on with a good frontman and made some good rock music like Audioslave. At the same time, I respect the fact that he is making the music that he enjoys making even if the majority of rock fans aren't too big on it.

He should be in acting. He has immense screen presence.
