Bowling shoes. I love 'em!

I have a pair of these...

I wear them everywhere. But they are very slick, having leather on the bottom, etc. And they wear out quickly.

Does anyone know if they sell good looking bowling shoes (yes, like these) with regular rubber soles? Or is it possible to go to a place and have a regular sole put on?

I think the bowling shoes fashion craze has come and gone. If they didn't do it then, they're probably not going to do it.

Take them to a shoe repair store and have them re-soled. Around here it runs about $60.00 - I've had a pair of Bruno Magli's for ten years and re-soled them three times. Sadly, I think this will be the last year I'll be able to wear them .....

'Zackly. I've probably gone through 5-6 soles and a pair of heels on my cowboy boots. Hey, I bet those bowling shoes would look cool with a set of kick-ass Vibramô boot soles on them.

The Dexter SST's have one side in a rubber sole, see if they will sell you opposing non-sliding sides (a lefty shoe).

I thought of that, but I really like the look of the ones I have. I may need to find a place that does shoe repair. Didn't even know they existed anymore.

Your part of the country is behind Canada? Are you going to put on a Robin Sparkles tour?
