Where do you need to visit in your own state?

On a recent trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina I realized that I've been to the beaches in SC and Florida a zillion times, but not one time in Georgia. I've lived in Atlanta for 19 years and never even seen a Georgia beach (not counting one trip to Savannah).

What famous or tourist-type spot have you never visited in your own state and probably should?

The Toledo Museum of Art is supposed to be really good. Also, I'd like to catch an Indians game at Jacobs Field.

Monticello
Skyline Drive

When I lived in Northern Virginia, I didn't see some of the major DC monuments until shortly before leaving. Not sure why I waited so long.

I've always wanted to hit up the John Wayne memorial in Winterset, Iowa, but I never stop by whenever I pass.

Someday.

What other "beach" would you go to? Lake Lanier? Sea Island?

Basketball Hall of Fame. I always told myself I'd go some day but I've never made a trip out there.

The Greenbrier

For those who donít know, itís a four star resort and historic landmark. The hotel sits on top of the former doomsday bunker for Congress.
