What was the last museum you went to? + Topical Bonus Thread: Whitney Biennial 2008

So I think I'm checking out the 2008 Whitney Biennial over the weekend. I've never been to one and always wanted to go. This got me to thinking...

What was the last museum you went to?

The last one I went to was the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. They had a really really neat Tezuka exhibition. Yes, this Tezuka:

Also, if you're a Columbia County resident, I recommend checking out the Dia:Beacon. They have free admission for Columbia residents next April 12. They have some cool Richard Serra stuff:

The L.A.County Museum of Art a number of years ago. Unless exhibitions count - then it would be last year to see the art of Basil Wolverton.

American Museum of Natural History in NYC.

All these intellectuals were scratching their beards looking at this wall of skulls that had "homo sapian", "homo erectus", etc... I walked up, stared at them for awhile, then looked at my girlfriend and said: "They're all homos!". True story. I guess you had to be there...

Last year on vacation in FL I went to the Air Force Armament Museum outside Eglin Air Force Base and the Indian Temple Mound Museum (which was way more interesting than I thought it would be.)

TB: How was the PS1 show?

The Biennial was pretty cool. Wish I could've gone earlier to see more of the videos.

I think I want to go the Murakami exhibit in two weeks.
