I think I'll watch The Passion of the Christ. And eat corn dogs.

This is the 1st year they made the schools go in on Good Friday down here. It raised a huge shitstorm here too. I didn't think it was such a big deal to go to school on Good Friday. When I was growing up we never had off for Good Friday. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

The roads were pleasantly empty though driving into work, which was nice. My work is closing at 3pm too, so yay.

Same here-- I never had Good Friday off when I was a kid.

Schools were closed here today AND yesterday.

Does it still count if you watch it on Wednesday?

How has going meatless for Lent been? Will there be a big Easter feast? -- and not necessarily corn dogs...

I'm stocking up on ammo and guns in case the zombie Jesus and his undead disciples return to eat my flesh.

Or, maybe I'm just having another boring, over-imaginative day at work...

I'm finishing off some leftover Lo Mein before running a 6 miler and catching Doomsday at the theater afterwards.

Hey, you asked ...never said it was particularly exciting.

Working. Going out for dinner. Then maybe watch a movie at home or play a game or read a book (or a combination thereof). Just like most days.

I don't see what's so good about "Good Friday."

Schools here were closed, I took the day off, my boy and I played outside (and I had some maintenance done on my car.)

20 years ago when I worked at a private non-profit, they used to give the employees the afternoon of Good Friday off to attend services. Most of the employees wound up at the services of the local bar.
