Take the awareness test!

See if you can count the number of times the white team passes the basketball.

I started to wonder why there was a dancing "monkey" in the shot.

I don't think the makers of the test are aware what moonwalking is.

At least I got the answer right

Even after it was pointed out I had a hard time seeing it. Damn 90's monitor and my lousy gamma!

And are we supposed to be surprised by this? Magicians and thieves have relied on the fact that we can only really see what we are looking at for a long, long time.

Huh, What? While I was trying to watch the video on my 6800 I think I may have hit a cyclist (ie. crunchy speedbump), messing up my count. Was it 12 or 13 passes? And yes, that was not quite a moonwalk, keep trying mister bear.

Ditto, and I was all proud that I counted 13 passes.

Same here.

And I swear there are only 12 passes.

Here I was thinking I'm the cat's ass for getting all 13 - then they throw in the bear shit!

I probably have a cyclist pinned to the front of my car - I should look

Something seemed weird to me but I didn't take my eyes off the ball. (I counted 13)

I'm not upset so much about missing the bear as I am about being so rigidly bound by authority that I could not be distracted from the ball. I'm glad I didn't live in Germany in the late '30s. I'd have been a nazi.

That was a right cool test.

Yeah, it got me as well. Now no matter how many times I try to do it again, I just can't unsee the bear. I see it just as plain as day each and every time.

And I thought I was good at tests that like as well. It took a third watch before I counted 13. Didn't see one that looked easily missed, so I guess I just can't count!

Hopefully no one will read the rest of the thread first and just take the test from the OP. I'm curious as to how many people see it.

Just watched it again, and in slight defense of those of us who only counted 12, the 13th pass is not completed in the 2nd viewing.

I'm still trying to come to terms with the words "white" and "basketball" in the same sentence.
