Anyone here going to NY Comic Con?

I went last year and though it can't compare to San Diego...it's a lot easier for me to get to

Anyone here going? It's April 18th-20th.

Peter F. Hamilton (a sci fi writer I dig) is gonna be at this one so I totally would. My supersonic jet is in the shop, though.

<--- Breathes sigh of relief upon realizing that the dozens of comedy clubs in NYC won't spontaneously implode in mid-April....

Hope the fire marshall doesn't close it down and make folks who bought tickets have to wait to get in (as others exit). It could get ugly again.

I think that only happened the first year as they had no idea how popular it would be. I went last year (all 3 days) and had no problems getting in. I will admit Saturday was a bit crowded and there was a line to get in (I waited maybe 40 minutes) but Friday and Sunday were both pretty empty.

From what I understand they are expanding it this year.

I heard last year was a nightmare but I'm going to give it a chance this year, at least for saturday. Otherwise I'll be saving up the cash for San Diego, which is just as great as everyone says it is! This summer will be my 13th year.

I'm going for the first time this year - can't wait. Is it tough to get in the room for those movie panels (X-Files 2, SW/Indiana Jones, etc.)? How early should I get there? Any other tips?
