How to Send a Vinyl Album in the Mail?

I'm trying to sell some of my old records on eBay and I was just curious if anyone knows how I would go about sending those in the mail?

I've receieved a record & some laser discs in the mail, but I cannot remember how they were sent.

When I order my vinyls they come in hard cardboard sleeves made for vinyls (13 x 13 instead of 12 x 12).

google LP mailers or something.

oh, and I think if you take a medium FedEx box and keep it flat, it also fits an LP.

Don't forget to remove the record and inner sleeve from the jacket prior to mailing. A lot of the time, seam splits will occur during shipping.

There is a size of Priority Mail box that is good for albums/laserdiscs. The disc has to go in at a slight diagonal to fit properly, but the box is nice and sturdy. I mailed tons of albums out in these boxes over the years, and have never had a complaint about one arriving damaged.

Do you think that Office Max might have a box like the ones discussed on here?

But you have to buy 25 or so, I only need 2-5 of them at most.

I sold a bunch of LPs on ebay a few months ago. Ran into the same dilemma. I finally figured it out. Just go to your local favorite pizza establishment, ask for a couple of extra empty pizza boxes. Don't get them larger than 15 inches IIRC. Post office charges extra for anything larger than that. But the 12s should do. Use newspapers to fill it, tape it up and wrap it with some supermarket paper bags turned inside out, like a present. It may be some extra work, but all my transactions went smooth. Hope this still helps!

Wow, never thought of that. I used to work at a pizza place too. Too bad I don't anymore.
