Marine throws puppy off a cliff

I don't understand - youtube keeps tons of videos of US soldiers blowing up heads of afghanis/iraqis, but youtube removes a clip of a marine throwing a puppy off the cliff, which may or not even be a hoax. I don't get it. Puppies are more sacred than human life? What about evil puppies? What about puppies that belong to Al Queda?

I saw this posted on another forum. I refuse to watch the video, but they were discussing the authenticity.

If it is a fake, it is a terrible hoax. Take that how you will.

Good to know the Marines have nothing better to do. Hoax or not, I hope that asshole gets eviscerated by a roadside bomb.

I hope his whole family does, and anyone who ever met him, hoax or not. We're talking about a puppy, for fuck's sake. What's next, dolphins?

I win

No, I'd want his family to live, so they can suffer the loss of their "fallen hero".

Yeah, because people with a bad sense of humor should die horribly

Yea, regardless of the authenticity it's a fucked up video. I don't know what down-time is like in Iraq, but there has to be something else these guys could be doing other than tossing puppies off of a cliff. I don't think it was already dead, as some claim, but I sure hope so. That was a long fall.

For those who want to see: (I don't really think it's NSFW)

Not sure how long it'll be up, though.

Yeah, cause that puppy will forgive him soon enough.

I don't even know how throwing a puppy off a cliff would be considered funny whatsoever.

*EDIT*: Absoulutely Disgusting.

Even if the video was real I would NEVER place a human life above an animal's.

The bad sense of humor I was refering to is that I'm positive it's a hoax video, and wouldn't even be suprised if it turned out not to be real US troops.

Where have you been? Humans can defend themselves, while puppies are defenseless such and such and that means people should really blah, blah, blah, Michael Vick should be executed via means of rabid dog bites.

They already identified him. He's supposedly a lance corporal stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe.

I know we have a couple members on this board who have served in Iraq and can clarify this but one of my friends who was in the Marines would tell me stories like this all the time. He said stray dogs were everywhere in Iraq and when they would move into a city they would always "adopt" a few for themselves. Since they couldn't take them with them when they had to move again their only options were to let it loose where it would once again become a stray and would eventually die of starvation, or they could go ahead and put it down Old Yeller style. Not too much different than taking an aging dog to a vet to be put down. I'm not sure if this pertains to this incident at all (and granted, there is no need to laugh and videotape yourself doing it) but just wanted to bring up a different viewpoint.

Could the fucking idiots in Iraq who insist on photographing/videotaping every second of their day please get a clue? Yes, it's going to get out. Yes, it's going to be taken in the worst possible way. Some idiots a few years ago got drunk and made a bunch of guys form a naked dude period and apparently it's the moral equivalent of the Spanish Inquisition. Learn from that.

Soon, though, once I've started my new mega-corporation, we'll open a chain of "special obedience training camps" for them, simultaneous with the launch of our new line of jerky snacks.

Spoiler:
Soylent green is puppies! Damn_dogs.

Exactly! I always find animal cruelty threads much more disheartening than people cruelty threads (except for children, because they can't really defend themselves either).
