Monsters from Dungeons & Dragons

In light of the co-creator of D&D passing, here are a few light hearted looks at some creatures in the dungeons...

Nah, Mrs. D's is much better...plus the half man/horse dude would have an awesome penis hanging down and the dragon would have tits.

Good times... I still have my original dice bag and dice, but all the books were gifted on when I left college. Does anyone else remember referring to them by acronym? DMG, PH, etc.

Gelatinous cube! Eek!

All of a sudden, it's 1974 and I'm listening to Zeppelin rolling 20-sided dice with my brothers at the dining room table. Ah, the pleasures of misspent time.....

Where would I be today without having spent so much time with owlbears, shriekers, rust monsters and ropers?

I remember the module "Keep on the Borderlands" was the first time I played D&D. I used a pre-generated Cleric and died at the hands of kobolds. Good memories!

Wow - brings back memories just looking at those book covers. I had the Fiend Folio, my brother had the others. I didn't play much, though. I probably still have that stuff in a box somewhere in the basement....wonder if it's worth anything...

My church is still convinced this is a plot by Satan. Don't say I didn't warn you all.

It's all coming back to me now. Especially that summer we spent slugging it out in that spaceship in the Barrier Peaks. It incited a bit of a schism in our party and some of us split off to play Gamma World for a while, then we all reunited to play Champions. Good times...

I had most of those books
sold them though as the only reason I had them was because the guy I bought them from didn't want to sell his RPG stuff in parts and all I was trying to buy was the battletech stuff

If nothing else, it's fun to say... (and it sounds like a Beatles song title!)
