Question for Ladies/Metrosexuals (waxing)

I want to wax some stuff. Does it matter where I go? Also, do they reuse the cloth stripes? I don't want some stripe from a druggie or something.

Thanks

I would go to a salon that is part of a department store or other chain for waxing services. These are usually dependably safe.

Most estheticians use disposable wax cloths now, not actual cloth strips as in the past. If you're really nervous, just tell the esthetician you want to see the packaging removed from the product so that you can be sure it's not used. Then, lie back and let her rip your hair out by the roots with all the attendant glee of knowing that you're scared of her.

<-------ruins the prayers of drmoze

almost all places i have gone to use disposable strips. there are different kinds of waxes that they use. some hurt a little less and others react different with your skin. trial and error.

and i am not a metrosexual, just a hairy italian.

Sugaring hurts less, and feels smoother.

The question is, is the OP a lady or a metro?

Man up and use a pair of tweazers. The size of area doesn't matter. Man up.

I never heard of sugaring. I searched the interweb and it says it's like wax except it doesn't require heating? Maybe I'll try at home.

*Ponders how many drug dealers get waxed*

Okay...besides strippers, not that many!

Just shave it - Serious.
Either that or book yourself in for a Laser session, and make it permanent, but with the cost of course.
I've had a chest wax, and it was an oddly pleasurable pain experience. But there are a lot more ingrown hairs etc with the wax over shaving and/or trimming the growth.

I have this annoying patch of hair on the lower part of my back - that I'd love to wax off.

My eyebrows keep trying to join together, so I'm constantly dealing with that area. Waxing was a good solution that I tried for a while, but the expense can add up over time. Or maybe I'm just a cheapass. I use a trimmer for that spot currently.
