DVDTalk's Biggest Loser: March 2008

Do I have to get this party started? Today's not my day to take measurements, but I wanted to post visuals of my progress. The following 2 pictures were taken 2 months apart; the first before I started the Abs Diet and the last is today.

Fatty McButterPants

60 days later

As you can tell from the silly smirk on my face, I've very happy with the progress so far. I still have a good bit of fat to lose, but I'm not quiting until I can see those abs!

Staring weight - 233.2

March 3rd Weigh In - 219.6 pounds

Goal for MARCH - 215 pounds

Down almost 15 so far. Feeling much better, clothes are looser.

I'm finding that I'm starting to REALLY miss sweets. I'm not really even a desert person either. I could really go for a piece of cake right now

My goal for this month is a little low because there are a few things happening that will take me off my diet, so I have to be a little conservative. If I loose a lot in the first part of the month, I may go down a bit more.

I can't believe how much I've lost and how much more to go.

Have a yogurt (or even better) a Cottage Double. Those things are delicious. Or fruit.

I love cookies. I get around buying them by taking one or two from the bakery at the supermarket: they always have free samples.

And it won't kill you to have a few fun size candy bars during the week.

What I've done is take a spoonful of peanut butter and a few M & Ms as a treat. Probably around 50 cals or so, but it helps stave off attacking a McDonald's birthday party.

I've got 2 challenges going on in tandem - at work I joined the biggest loser contest with 2 co-workers which lasts for the next 4 months, and a few weeks ago my mom challenged me to lose 40 pounds by my birthday (8/21). Her incentive: $3000.

----February goal: 192---------
Spoiler:

Starting Feb 1 weight - 199.8 Exercise: shoveled driveway
Feb 8 weight - 194.6
Feb 12 Exercise: 3.0 miles in 32 minutes
Feb 15 weight - 199.0 Crap! Valentine's day dinner killed me.
Feb 18 Exercise: 3.1 miles in 36 minutes
Feb 19 Exercise: 3.0 miles in 32 minutes
Feb 22 weight - 194.8: only 2.8 more pounds to go!
Feb 27 weight - 193.0: 1 more pound!
Feb 29 weight - 192.6 just missed the target, but I'm really happy about my progress. Exercise: 3.0 miles in 36 minutes

----March goal: 185------------
March 1 weight: 191.8
March 8 weight: 191.0
March 15 weight: 186.0 (I had the flu and couldn't eat for days)
March 22 weight: 187.4
March 29 weight:
March 31 weight:

Week 1 185.2
Week 2 181.4
Week 3 184.4
Week 4 182.8
Week 5 182.0
Week 6 181.2
Week 7 182.4
Week 8 180.6
Week 9 180.4

Not much of a loss this week but binged like crazy for several days. Now getting and staying below 180 is the difficult part.

1/4/08 - 204 lbs
1/11/08 - 199.0
1/18/08 - ??
1/25/08 - 194.0
2/1/08 - 191.0
2/8/08 - 190.0
2/22/08 - 193 (planned binge eating while on vacation)
3/1/08 - 190.5 (back on track)

You call that 'fatty?' Looks about average in the before pic. Losing the gut is tough.

Sickly McOutofShape, perhaps?

I certainly felt fat before starting. Maybe I didn't look it, but I freaked out after seeing 24% body fat on my scale and calculating about 40 pounds of my body was blubber. Anyway, I'm after the gut if it takes me all stinkin' year!

Jan 1: 184lbs
Feb 1: 176lbs
Mar 1: 169lbs

Doesn't really feel like I've lost 15 lbs, but I have just through dieting. Might join a gym this month. I've been waiting for the weather to warm up a bit and my work schedule to get back to normal. But I'm happy with the way I'm eating.

I'm the exact opposite, if I don't have any I don't have any desire, as soon as I have just a little I'll have cravings like crazy and binge. Last Sunday I had one donut, which led to 2 more, then ate like a fiend for 3 more days.

Looks like it's working. I've been trying to lose the gut for a few years now. I'm finally making some headway.

02/10/08 - 195 lbs
02/17/08 - 192 lbs
02/21/08 - 191 lbs
and then I took a cruise to the cariibbean, did a ton of walking but no gym and ate enough to feed a small country.....lack of concern at all, total opposite of my previous efforts. And gained between 5-7 lbs. In general I feel gross now, and am sorta detoxing from the amazing trip. I'll weigh in officially this sunday again and re-up my efforts heading into spring..

I've got a lot of belly to lose, and I'm finding little in the way of sucess. Everywhere else has been great but the belly is a fighter.

Glad to see this thread is still going strong. Makes me happy to see people sticking with their routines and staying (or getting) healthy.

As for me, I have minor knee surgery scheduled for the end of the month. I'm still hovering at the 182 lbs range, so I'm keeping off the weight/fat, but without decent cardio, I don't see it dropping into the 170s just yet. I do work out, and I do some light cardio, but I do miss people able to really work up a sweat.

End of Week 9 Numbers:

Current Body Weight: 157.5 lbs
Body Fat Percentage: 16%
Total Body Fat: 25.2 lbs

Another great week. Lost 1.5 pounds of fat and replaced it evenly with muscle. I've been adding some P90X routines into my workout for the past couple weeks and it's definitely putting a beating on me. Good stuff!

I checked my weight for the first time in awhile. I'm down to exactly 180. Very excited with that number.

Yeee haw!

So I fell off the updating wagon for awhile but have made a little progress

Original January weight 276.5
Last Weigh in (2/17): 263.5

Current weight: 262.5

Did not make my March 1 goal of 260. Going to set a new goal for April 1 of 259.

Its not a terribly aggressive goal but its achievable. My eating habits have improved although my exercise routine has lately been sporadic at best.

On my second day of iwantsixpack abs. Man was that workout tough yesterday! Today I'm going to do some running, not exactly like it's mapped out in the site, because I'm doing it with a friend. We're running around 2 miles or so, then I'm gonna drink some protein and have a banana. I can do it!

I have a problem with eating Cottage Cheese (it's gross!) and almonds (I'm allergic). What can I replace those snacks with?

Are you allergic to all nuts? Cashews are a great snack. They also keep you regular when you're loading up on the protein

After getting my blood test results back and finding out my cholesterol level is at 262. I have to jump in on this and lose weight as well as eat a lot more healthy. I guess giving up fast food for lent was a step in the right direction, but I've started following an eating program to further help lower my weight and cholesterol.

Butt naked, I weigh 181lbs. My ideal weight is supposed to be 165lbs. We'll see how I survive.
