Why not take a break from driving? I've never been but I've heard it's better just to walk or take a taxi/subway.

Wait.. people drive in NY? I don't think you'll be able to handle it. Just take a taxi or the subways.

Well, depends on where you live and work here, but if its Manhattan, then there is no reason to drive.

I agree.

I think it is safer driving in NYC - the cabbies and other drivers know how to "drive."

You don't' get nervous people who are not comfortable driving (I know people like this) cutting across midtown. These indecisive people are the ones who cause accidents and traffic!

Parking is fantastic - if you don't mind paying $30. just drive to where you need to be, and chances are there will be a parking garage right there (how much more convenient can you get)

Probably me. I always cut everyone off everywhere in OC/LA/SD.

I agree which da boat-a-youz. I'm from LA and have driven in New York a few times but if I'm going just to Manhattan then I'm just taking the subway or Taxi.

If you are driving out of the city into northern New York it is beautiful and a very nice drive.

I didn't forget the 91 or the 22.

The 55 isn't a freeway. It's a syndrome.

The OP will be charged extra to park that pickup in a NYC garage.
