Quick Tax question

Doing my GF's taxes. She hasn't recieved one of her W2's. It was from a temp job where she only worked a few days and made a few hundred bucks.

Will the government give her shit if I leave this off her return? It will probably only increase her refund by a few bucks.

Guess I can always add an addendum if the damn thing ever shows up.

That could work, hope she has it. Does the paystub have the employer's tax id # though?

You know, I don't think most stubs would have that, can't hurt to check.

Oh, and I don't think she'd get shit for leaving it off, unless her return ended up being pulled in one of the random spot-check audits or whatever.

yea, I seriously doubt it too. And even then it probably wouldn't be a big deal. They said they sent her that w2 two weeks ago but it hasn't shown up yet.

She just wants her refund to buy some girly shit, so I was thinking about just saying fuck it and file it since it won't change her refund much.

isn't there a minimum you have to make before you have to claim income? $600 comes to mind, if it's under that then you don't have to claim it?

/not a tax accountant
