Today is Mardi Gras -- anyone celebrating?

"San Diego now reigns as the premier Mardi Gras destination on the West Coast. This is no small feat, as San Diego Mardi Gras only started in 1996 from 2 floats and whoever happened to be walking by at the time to over 40 floats and 40,000 people only 12 years later. In that relatively short time San Diego has cemented itself as a Top Ten Mardi Gras destination worldwide."

I'll be out partying celebrating at the Gaslamp Quarter. Anyone else out "celebrating" tonight?

Hmm... I just did a quick web search for this "Mardi Gras". From what I understand, one is supposed to throw breads at young ladies' mammary glands. Sounds unusual, but I'm intrigued. I'll pick up a pack of sandwich rolls after work.

I was actually thinking of heading out to the Gaslamp tonight. Weather looks good.... but wished it was a tad warmer. Maybe I'll bump into ya. I'll be the dude not flashing boobage.

I went to a Gaslamp Mardi Gras back in 1999 when I was in college.

Ah, good times...
