Ah, you beat me to it.

I decided to jump on the scale this morning as a pre-weigh in weigh in. I'm down to 184.6. Yeeee haw. That's just under 8 pounds in one month. Not bad. And I feel fantastic. I wouldn't say I'm looking svelt or anything, but I am looking trimmer. And this is with only half-ass workouts thanks to my damn knee. Once that's set, I should be able to kick my fat loss into overdrive.

How did everyone else January go?

I missed out on the Jan thread but would like to log my weight here in this post for this month. End of February goal: 192 August 21 goal: 160

I've got 2 challenges going on in tandem - at work I joined the biggest loser contest with 2 co-workers which lasts for the next 4 months, and a few weeks ago my mom challenged me to lose 40 pounds by my birthday (8/21). Her incentive: $3000.

Personal rules - No fast food. Subway is ok.

Starting Feb 1 weight - 199.8 Exercise: shoveled driveway
Feb 8 weight - 194.6
Feb 12 Exercise: 3.0 miles in 32 minutes
Feb 15 weight - 199.0 Crap! Valentine's day dinner killed me.
Feb 18 Exercise: 3.1 miles in 36 minutes
Feb 19 Exercise: 3.0 miles in 32 minutes
Feb 22 weight - 194.8: only 2.8 more pounds to go!
Feb 27 weight - 193.0: 1 more pound!
Feb 29 weight - 192.6 just missed the target, but I'm really happy about my progress. Exercise: 3.0 miles in 36 minutes

180 is in my optimal range, and is a pretty good weight for me.. so thats what i typically shoot for.. if I go lower, so be it.

well..
i didnt get started until jan 7th (after i finished vacation)
and i didnt do all that well with the diet, because we have had a regular stream of vendors in (seems like at least 3 days a week) lately, and they keep taking us to expensive restaurants, so I cant resist getting good food
but i was hitting the treadmill pretty well, until this week (chest cold has me feeling like crap).. oh, and corrie got me a cookie cake and made one of my fav dinners for my bday on the 29ths.. so Ive been eating on that

despite that.. this morning i weighed in at 204.4
so down a little over 8lbs.. thats pretty encouraging, since i really havent gotten into gear yet.

I have a contest with some friends and money involved. $500 buy in's and a contest that lasts a little under 8 months.

I weighed in at 174. I weighed in on the 24th at 166.

I'm at 168 right now ...

I targeted to be at 166 by the 24th of Feb. I would like to be 164 or less.

Starting weight 1/14: 279.2
2/1 weight: 269.4

Target for 3/1: 260

Currently doing WW points which helped me lose 60+ pounds in 2002 - got down to 210, which for my build and height looks pretty thin.

Started on 12/26: 208 lbs, goal = 190 by 2/13/08

12/28/07 - 208 lbs
1/4/08 - 204 lbs
1/11/08 - 199.0
1/18/08 - ??
1/25/08 - 194.0

2/1/08 - 191.0

Just a totally random, but I am guestimating about 12% body fat.. goal revised to 185 lbs

Did this by maintaining a balanced diet (no fad diets) of 2,000 - 2,500 calories a day, but I work out probably more than most people do. Average week consists of 3-4 days of 45min to 1 hour of weights plus 1 hour of high intensity cardio, and 1-2 days a week of 3+ hours of biking. The next 12 days, I am gonna attempt 2,000 calories a day max, which is very difficult with how much I work out.

In March, I am also switching from my training patterns from weight loss to training for upcoming endurance races, and the diet goes back up to 3,000-3,500 calories a day.

I lost right at 10 pounds, which was my target. I'm a little disappointed with it though, because I was on track to do more like 12-13 until the last week or so.

My goal for February is to lose two pounds a week.

Using my prepared meals from diets to go:

http://www.diettogo.com/0107web/

I also do about 30 sets of weight training exercises 3 times a week.

I hate cardio. Yes I know I need to do it. But I hate it.

I revisited the thread from Jan and left you all hanging about the cake.

I was a little weak, and took a sliver about the size of my thumb. It was two small bites.

Lord help us if you put a pizza in front of me.

01/02/08 - 211 lbs
01/05/08 - 208.5 lbs
01/12/08 - 205 lbs
01/19/08 - 203 lbs
01/26/08 - 199.5 lbs
02/01/08 - 196 lbs

Height 5'6-7ish

January was a banner month for me with total weight loss of 16 lbs, I couldn't have imagined that kind of success. I changed everything lifestyle-wise and am loving it. Eating better, and less often (and smaller portions), added fruit for breakfast (instead of no breakfast). Less beer, no diet soda, no sugar in coffee. Gym 3-4 times a week, situps daily, snowboarding at least twice a week.

My goal is simply to keep it up, at this point things are going well. My bmi is still 30.5 which is considered obese, so I'd like to get that to mid 2's and I've still got plenty of fat to burn away!!! I'm seemingly losing it everywhere but my belly!!

Good luck all, and great job so far!

I'm new to the Biggest Loser thread, but I know I'm overweight (Not sure by how much, I don't have a scale yet) and I wanna do something about it. A lot of my pants and shirts are a lot tighter than they used to be, and last time I went home everyone commented on how much I blew up. Damn college life.

Anyway, I browsed through the weight-loss thread from a while back and the IWantSixPackAbs.com routine seemed right up my ally. A pre-planned eating schedule (which doesn't sound so bad [salmon, chicken, cottage cheese, and other goodies]), and a set routine schedule that changes weekly are things that I need to keep me motivated. My question is, has or is anyone else using this program, and how is it working?

Once my student loan check comes in, I'll be buying the few things the routine requires, and a scale so I can get started!

I've missed these threads in the past, but figured I'd join in. I'm hardly as... dedicated to a goal as quite a few, I didn't even realize I'd been losing weight until I couldn't keep my 40" jeans up and realized I was now a 36". I started walking about three-four hours a night in October, and weighed myself for the first time since then yesterday. Starting at 237 on October 12th, I'm now down to 193lbs. This is with no change in diet. IE. Drink about 1500 calories in Orange Juice a day, eat two slices of pizza and have a small piece of chocolate cake, every day with no variations. I'm hoping to get down to 170 or so in the next six months.

1/1/08 weigh in: 184 lbs
2/1/08 weigh in: 176 lbs

Just through change of diet. I haven't bothered working out yet. I'm waiting for the weather to warm up a bit then I'll join a gym again. When it's below zero when I wake up I don't feel like going out to a gym.

Don't think I lost much in January, but I am now in the habit of walking more at night time, at least 30-45 minutes while watching an episode of TV on my Blackberry. I do need to watch my portions when I eat, as I did over do it a few times over the month (need to stop over-eating when we get good food delivered to the office for meetings).

My diet is a paleo diet... Basically lean, natural meats and seafoods, vegetables, fruits, nuts (no peanuts, they arent nuts), olive oils. No processed carbs, diary, or overly processed meats (lunch meat and what not). And my exercise routine as always is crossfit.

Breakfast today:
hard boiled eggs, yolks removed (not because they are unhealthy, because I dont like them) w/ guacamole filled in
Orange

Lunch:
Carnitas, salsa, romaine lettuce, guacamole, sautéed peppers and onions.

Dinner will be:
Grilled steak, salad with oil and vinegar + slivered almonds, steamed broccoli

Apple with Almond Butter for Dessert.

Fifth Weigh-In
Days on Abs Diet: 33
Weight: 182.6 lbs
Weight Lost This Week: 3.6 lbs (1.93%)
Total Weight Lost: 10 lbs (5.19%)

Body Fat: 24.7%
Body Fat Lost This Week: 1.6%
Total Body Fat Lost: 4.8%

Wow. I finally hit the 10 pound mark. Not bad for 33 days. I'd like to see my body fat numbers take a stronger dive, but that won't happen until I can hit the gym on a little more regular basis. But all in all, I'm feeling healthier every day and I'm starting to look a little trimmer. I'm looking forward to checking my waist/hip ratio at the end of 6 weeks.

Initial Weigh-In
Age: 35
Height: 5'10
Weight: 192.6 lbs
Body Fat: 29.5%
Waist/Hip Ratio: .987
