Where did prisoners in Marshall Dillon's jail wee-wee and or poo-poo on Gunsmoke?

Was there a cell-pot or commode just out of view or did they let 'em out during the commercials to go like yer everyday honest citizens?

No one on TV was allowed a bodily function until the 1970s when Archie Bunker flushed his toilet. It's been nothing but fart jokes since.

Otis? Come on, you know good and well that Andy let him out whenever he needed to go. He'd let him out to do just about anything Otis wanted to do...other than drink, and for all we know Andy even let him out to attend a drinking contest or something.

I'm pretty sure Otis had access to the key and could let himself go whenever he wanted.

I have no idea but I just came here to brag that I am actually related to the real Marshal Mathew Dillon. He is my great great great Uncle (or however many greats it is; he's my great grandmothers uncle).

Seriously

WOW, DD! That's really very cool!

(I knew there was a reason why I liked you so much! You come from Good Stock! )

I've always had a high level of respect for Mr. J.A.

But Seriously folks...

I was playing with thread ideas, and for one reason or another wasn't paying attention, and clicked the submit button by accident.

Seeing that we can't delete our threads anymore, I guess we're stuck with it.

(Sincerely Sorry everybuddy...)

Might as well make the best of it?

In an attempt to save this dyin' sucker, here's a SERIOUS QUESTION!!!

Where DID prisoners in small jails like that go to the bathroom anyway?

-THAT IDIOT THEEK!

RD:

Like the cartoon versions, I believe the Brady's didn't have privates. There was just smooth plastic where their reproductive organs were supposed to be.

Hey, LM!

That's nice and all, and thanks for posting that picture, but I meant like on Gunsmoke!

What starts off in the crock pot ends up in the crap pot eventually.

Who says everyone wiped in those days. But if they did it was probably with whatever they could get their hands on. Haven't you ever seen Dances With Wolves THEEK?

I missed that one!

(Seriously, I did. For one reason or another I just couldn't get into it.)

Maybe they used horse tails or their cowboy neck-ker-chiefs?

You need to spend less time watching Star Trek and more time watching westerns. However I always wanted to know where the bathrooms were on the Enterprise and what Vulcans did.

I hope eHarmony can find that perfect match for you: a woman with an interest in alien scatology.
