I almost got into a fight at the Taco Bell drive through last night

I was exhausted from cleaning my best friend's house all weekend (she's sick). I was on my way home and I just wanted two tacos and an iced tea, for Pete's sake.

Unfortunately, I get into the drive-through line behind the stupidest woman in the universe. To give you an idea of her situation, her order came to $23.67 at the window. It took her more than five minutes to place said order because she kept changing stuff, adding stuff, asking how much stuff was, etc. She had a bunch of kids in her car with her. Finally, after she'd asked about the sixth time how much something was, I leaned my head out the car window and yelled, "Oh, for Christ's sake, lady, come on!"

(Yes, I know. Church lady taking the Lord's name in vain on Sunday. I will burn plenty for this).

Anyway, she yelled back, "Give me a break!" and then finally before she pulled forward she yelled, "You need some manners back there," and then to prove what a paragon of etiquette she was, she flipped me off out the window.

I am going to write my congressional representative today and request an amendment to the U.S. Constitution: If you don't have a simple order, DON'T GO THROUGH THE DRIVE THROUGH!

Did they at least honor your BOGO burrito coupon?

In her defense, a herd of kids probably wouldn't be much fun draggin inside. She would have been better off figuring out her order before getting in line.

I know. I would have gone inside myself when I saw what a doofus she was, except I live in Da Innah City and the Taco Bell I go to has one of those Pinball Track drive-throughs that you can't get out of once you're in line.

That's the way it is at banks too.

And I hate being behind someone at McDonald's doing the "Umm...uhh...lemme get the.... ummm..."
It's the same damn menu you've ordered from a thousand times!

You could have yelled, "$23.67!!!" when the lady asked how much again.

I agree, also if you have a really big order, it would be nice if you went inside.

Your best bet when ordering at Taco Bell is to order whatever's cheapest. That way, at least you aren't setting yourself up for disappointment.

Seriously, what they show on their commercials (fresh ingredients lovingly placed on a newly-baked flour tortilla) looks nothing like what they give you at the restaurant.

Yeah, the commerical showed REAL food, but at Taco Bell, you get plastic foods.

Taco Bell's gotten better now that they offer the Fresco menu, which substitutes lettuce, chopped tomatoes and spices for the cheese and sour cream toppings. That, and they're cheap. Gotta love that.

What are you going to do in the future when Taco Bell is the only restaurant left?

Replacing the vegetables with CHEESE and SOUR CREAM? Do they replace the meat with lard and the tortilla with a fruit roll-up?

Sorry, you did not "almost get into a fight". You yelled at some dumb bitch and she yelled back.

Next time embellish the story and mention how you both got out of your cars at the end and had to be separated by some employee that was sweeping outside.

Okay, I looked this up and I read your post wrong.

Still, it says something that I thought Taco Bell would actually offer this as an option, I think.

Then you should be able to figure out how much stuff this lady ordered if it came to almost $24. Definitely not a drive through order.
