Re: MMR shot linked to autism?
The parallels are definitely striking: A group of loons, who for political reasons rejects decades of published research in favor of more ideologically acceptable blog science, rails against the corrupt scientific establishment for suppressing The Truth and pathetically expects to be vindicated any day now when the conspiracy finally collapses and all those credentialed scientists who act like they're so smart will be revealed for the fools and charlatans that they are.
Or is that not what you meant?

It is the most discreditted of your perfect science by perfect scientists claim. Well, several are equally discredited, but that is discredited by the most reputable body and received some scant attention in a mainstream media that believes "if the data says hot, it must be true."
Some of the worst of us consider it so bad that we think the chairman of the IPCC should be forced to resign or be thrown out.

The IPCC report consists of three volumes, each about 1000 pages long. Only the first volume is written by climate scientists and contains a summary of the current state of scientific knowledge. The second volume deals with the impact of climate change and is written by social scientists. This is where the typo you mentioned appeared. Of course, this was directly contradicted by Volume 1, which had the correct data on glaciers. Moreover, the typo itself was discovered and pointed out by climatologists.
Since you are such a stickler for accuracy, I expect you already know all this.
Now, from time to time there will be other errors in climate science, as there are in all areas of scientific research; generally, these are corrected as more data is found and normal people move on. But you are of course free to act like the creationists who seize on every error made by an evolutionist as THE SMOKING GUN THAT INVALIDATES THE ENTIRE THEORY. This is not crazy at all.
