Im sad and pretty. Let me show you.

a) This is a poignant picture that challenges traditional views

b) This is an intimate glimpse into the human soul

c) This is another cheesy self important sop trying to elicit attention

Does it bug anyone else that our society will be judged by future generations by the sheer volume of myspace self photographing idiots? 100 years from now, there will be an exhibit with a hovering monitor kiosk showing random myspace pages condensendingly describing how our generation 'saw itself'.

Its not that I wouldnt encourage anyone with a camera to explore their creative side, but at what cost?

Someone should archive myspace pages as a time capsule.

They could have done it with live journal pages a couple of years ago.

Teenage girls are so, like, deep.

I don't think until sites like MySpace and LiveJournal existed did we have adolescents who were isolated from society and had these constant feelings that no one understood them.

but they didn't have a way to showcase it to the world. and we couldn't sit comfortably in our chairs at home and mock them.

A big part of photography is being in the right place, camera ready and pointed in the right direction--am I right photogs? So kudos for her being there in front of the mirror to get every tear captured on film for us.

I think this is an isolated case. Surely there can't be more photos of sad, pretty girls out there on MySpace, or possibly even prettier, even sadder girls, wearing less clothes or (possibly) kissing their equally sad, equally pretty lesbian friends???

but see thats part of what bugs me. She looks like a fairly normal person, not the typical screwed up emo.

I think shes genuinely trying to take a profound photograph.

How is it a mirror shot? The camera isn't straight. Or do camera's take pictures from the sides now?

Pentax is backwards on the camera. Maybe another one of 'em took a mirror shot of her taking a saddened mirror shot.

Course, it may have been rotated in Photoshop.

it could be one of those dressing room 3 angled mirrors, and it could be largely cropped showing a wider angle

I'd cry too if I was trying to take a picture of myself reflected off of three mirrored surfaces.
