350lb guy runs Boston Marathon and finishes

I'm pretty sure that by the time I finished, the Kenyans were already back in Africa celebrating.

Agreed. However, 9+ hours is around a 21 minute a mile pace. I would say that he walked the Boston Marathon.

Well if we really want to get technical you'd have to say he walked the Boston Marathon course as he was in no way involved with the marathon.

Man, I miss Boston.

Why did he run the sidewalk in some areas? Did the streets re-open later?

Anyone remember the Hoyts? The kid with CP and superdad had to skip the race this year because the kid needed surgery and had to rest.

How many 26-mile marathons have you run that you can criticize this guy?

Did you actually read the article? He is already down close to 100 pounds already, so I doubt he thinks that.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with my brother recently. Is whether or not you are "sprinting" simply a factor of how much effort you are putting forth, regardless of how fast you are actually going?

Hey, it's cool that he is losing weight and possibly getting in shape and more power to him if he wants to go out there and walk 26 miles, but he didn't run a marathon.

Of course I wouldn't try running a marathon. I would much rather hit an elliptical hard half an hour a day than subject my knees to the punishment of running on concrete. That and running long distances is boring as hell.

That's what I was thinking. I wouldn't want to be that guy's knees. Given his weight loss so far, I can understand his desire to do something like that, but he should have gone for a 100 mile bike ride instead. It probably would have taken him about as long, not counting the two hours afterward he'd spend trying to remove the bike seat from his backside.

Where the hell do you get off saying I am criticising him? Get your ass kicked much in school? Or teased and taunted?

You another one of those who think someone cant have an opinion unless they have done the same things as someone else? LOL!!

If you think me calling him "heavy" is the same as fatass, lardass, etc which I didnt, and I also said good for him, then your skin is WAYYY to thin.. cry baby..get therapy

I didn't bother reading the article, but I should have known that he wasn't officially in the Marathon. The Boston Marathon is the one marathon that you have to qualify for to gain entry into the race. You have to run a different marathon(one that's a Boston qualifier) in a certain amount of time, based on your age and gender, to be eligible for the BM. 9 hours just won't cut it, even if you're 100 years old.

Fuck you too

If you had any common sense you'd have told the other fool that HIS/HERS was the overreaction to My post. But since most of you hate me and my opinions, and since I wont kiss your asses to fit in its obvious your common sense has been clouded to any and everything I say. So, go fuck yourselves..

I'm going to have to ask for another lesson here. Was that post sarcastic? You certainly can't be serious.
