Expired 03/07? It should be no problem. One time I had leftover Vicodins from an injury, they were expired like a year. I hurt my back really bad, and used them, with no problems.

The pills are still fine. They just will not be 100% as effective. Instead, about 90% effective since it's only a month after the expiration.

pinch the fleshy "webbing" part between your thumb and index finger. If you do it hard enough it will alleviate the headache (or, at the very least, give you a different pain to think about).

You're kidding, right?

Pain relievers don't miraculously stop working on their expiration date. They'll just slowly start to lose their efficacy. Hell, I've used Tylenol that were three or four years past expiration and they worked just fine.

Yeah, like others have said, all it means is that the efficacy is lessening... And probably not by that much at this point.

That's because the poison is starting to spread. That's what happens when you take aspirin (and bread) past their expiration date.

I still have condoms that expired in 2002 that i used. But I doubt I'll ever be in Botswana in the near future anyway. That was one crazy bachelor party though.

That's never worked for me. All it did was make my hand hurt, along with my head.

@ this thread. I found some Trazodone I was perscribed in 2001 a month or so ago and took one and it knocked me out. Expiration dates on meds are there for the companies benefit, pills don't "go bad"

I don't worry about the pills usually, it's the liquid stuff that I think would go bad faster.

They do. Small molecule drugs like tylenol are stable like a rock, but more complex drugs like biopharmaceuticals can change and grow degradants over extended time.

Drug companies base their expiration dating on a statistical analysis that the drug's potency is within 90-110% of when the drug was manufactured upon expiry.

What happens with liquids is they get concentrated over time, actually making the dosage stronger, thanks to water loss.
