YEAT: Removing bogus feedback?

Sorry, for another YEAT. A non paying bidder left me feedback that I didn't mail his item after I left the non paying feedback on his account.

Will Ebay remove this?

He left the feedback at the end of the time period and I didn't have a chance to follow up to it.

I have more auctions up now and I've gotten some emails from concerned buyers because of it.

I tried looking through Ebay's help and I have to go through pages and pages of BS.

feedback can only be removed when it is mutually agreed-upon by buyer and seller

Just respond to the feedback with "Never paid for item" or something like that.

here are reasons that ebay may remove feedback

you can try to see if that person has any incorrect contact information or if he included any profanities, etc. Feedback will be removed if he is suspended within 90 days of registration, etc. Make sure you filed a non-paying buyer mark with ebay.

You can see why now some sellers are very reluctant to give negative feedback.

It's too late for that. He waited for weeks after I posted mine. By the time I realized it was there, time had already expired for me to post a follow up.

I could ask him to mutually remove it. Although he never responded to my many emails to pay, so I doubt it will work. He's got crappy feedback recently so I tell anybody who questions it to look at his.

However, I'm just worried that people will see it first and then not bother bidding at all. My feedback is pretty good, but that's the first feedback someone sees.

I have 5 negatives from sellers (Overall rating is 301) and they are all from non paying idiots who leave revenge feedback. It's easy for people to see it's out of revenge if they take the time to look at their feedback and see the messages I (and others) have left them. But do most people do that? Probably not.
