Where the hell is the "Hang in there, baby!" cat poster?

Go ahead, search the web. I dare you. Try and find an image of the original Hang in there Baby! cat poster from the 1960s.

Was it a real cat or a cartoon? I'm not too familiar with the poster you're referring to.

The second one is the only one I could find that I thought might be it.

Nope, neither of those are the original. In the original it was an orange cat.

Probably because, as you can see, it's been copied by every cat owner with a camera and a shower curtain rod handy over the last forty years.

Here's one of my favorite originals from the 70s:

THE LAST GREAT ACT OF DEFIANCE

I found it here:

http://althouse.blogspot.com/2006/11...-is-it-30.html

You might contact her and see if it's still there and if she'll snag it for you (or at least take a better photo of it).

Here's one of my favorite originals from the 70s:

THE LAST GREAT ACT OF DEFIANCE
In my junior year, a senior submitted a well-written (for high school) poem that was entitled "Last Act of Defiance". It was well reviewed and put into the creative-writing magazine as well as the yearbook.

A few days after everyone got their yearbooks, the writer told everyone what the "Last Act of Defiance" was:

If you read the first letters of the poem, it said:

F
U
C
K
Y
O
U

(followed by the initials of the high school). Faculty couldn't do a thing as at that point books were already in everyone's hands.

I think Marge on the Simpsons said something like "That cat must be long dead...that's kind of depressing..."

I've already pimped another Acceptable TV show in another thread, but I think it's funny and it fits, so here's another one:

A 3 minute episode of Operation Kitten Calendar:

Great. Now somebody find me the "Hang in there Baby" poster from Daria...the half buried skeleton sticking up out of the ground. Best "Hang in there Baby" poster ever.
