I had a minor collision to the back of my vehicle and now my AC doesnt work. Is this unusual? Coincidence?

You could have blown a fuse or something, but I believe all A/C crap is in the front. I would check the fuses, then write it off as a coincidence. Unless it is going into the shop, then mention it for sure!

Something could have jarred loose from the impact, but I would mention it.

I am just shocked to hear you are using A/C in Chicago! Just wait a couple of days and it will snow and A/C will be the furthest from your mind!

70's? Maybe so, but I don't turn the AC on till it's pushing 90. Bring on the heat!

I have 93 Honda Accord. My AC is busted and they said it's about $900 to fix it. Me no have-a the money for that. I'm in Los Angeles, and it'll be in the 90s-100s this summer

That's BS.

What part is busted?

If it's a broken hose you can EASILY do it yourself. It'll take a few hours but nothing you can't handle.

Chances are it's either a busted hardline or a bad compressor.

Junkyards are your friend if you have a busted line. If the AC compressor is locked up just buy a rebuilt one or a new one.
