Looking online to book hotels in Asia

I'm thinking ahead about taking leave at the end of May and I'm hoping to travel to the Philippines and Singapore. Aside from the flight issues, which I'll probably work through locally, are there any good overall sites to book international hotels? I couldn't really get much of a recommendation for hotels in Singapore or Manila from the local travel agent -- I can think of a few names in Manila, but I haven't been able to dig up websites for all of them at this time.

Anyone have suggestions for websites that let you browse and check reviews for multiple countries?

thanks.

My coworker just went to Hong Kong, and has done it several times in the past. I'll try to ask him where he gets his hotels, but it'll be a while. I don't see him for a couple of weeks.

The best hotel in Manila is the Shangri-La hotel in Makati.

Followed by the Peninsula and Intercon also in Makati.

Everything else is probably crap, lol.

But seriously, Makati is where you want to be.

Shangri-La is one that I remembered from when I used to go to MegaMall on weekends. It's a little outside my price range though. I am thinking about the one at Robinson's Galleria though -- it appears to be owned by Holiday Inn now, although my memory of it was a little different (we had our prom there).

Still, I'm planning on attending some functions closer to Antipolo so Ortigas/Edsa junction is pretty convenient either way. I'm still waiting for more details though.

Yeah, it's called Crowne Plaza. They say it's nice.
