How many MPG (miles per gallon) do you get?

I am always amazed at car commercials that say how many miles per gallon a car gets. I know they are highway miles and thus find it so unrealistic a number. But every tank for years i wonder or think i just get such poor miles per gallon and wondering if there is something i can do to amp it up. i really fixate on the number almost every time i fill up.

Per tank on my '04 V6 Accord i get like 250 miles a tank. that is less than 20 miles per gallon for a 14 gallon tank. i do both city and highway, but that just seems so low. i got roughly the same with my previous Jetta.

So how many MPG do you all get per tank?

I get about 270 miles per full tank (city/HWY), 330 miles per full tank if I drive only on HWY.

I get about 250-260 miles in my '06 Accord 4 cylinders driving in NYC. Driving in the highway in NYC is like driving local in a rural area. If I drive strictly highway (outside of NYC), I can get about 400-450miles per full tank.

I typically run in the low-to-mid 20s mpg on my 2000 Altima. I'll get high 20s and into low 30s if I do a real long highway drive.

It seems to do better in the summer.

'06 Civic.
Around town, I get around 300 miles before I feel the need to fill up, and it's around 10 gallons when I do. So, 30 MPG.
On highway trips my mileage has gone up consistently while I've owned the car. The last trip delivered 39 MPG.

The car is rated at 30 city/40 highway.

I haven't done my own measurements but since the last time it was reset in early 2003 my 2002 Prius claims it's at 47.1 MPG. I fill up every week and a half or so.

If I am doing a mix of both HWY and city, I average about 25-30 miles per gallon (13 gallon tank) 2006 Elantra. However, I just filled up and I was at about 250 or so and put 11 gallons in which equals about 23 miles per gallon. This week was mainly all to and from work driving.

The best I have done was 399 miles on a full tank and I ran that thing pretty much dry!

I get between 25-26 in city and about 32-33 highway.

The best I ever got was 37 MPG on a drive from FL to NY.

I average about 25 mpg with mixed city and highway. I don't let my tank get empty but can comfortably go 340 miles on a tank (17 gallons). Not bad for a 3.2 liter V6 (2005 Acura TL 6-speed) with 258 hp.

I get 27-31 depending on how often I rip the VVT! Not like it makes a difference.
