I was about the last person I knew among friends and co-workers to get one when I finally broke down and got one in 2002 or so.

It's hard to imagine getting by without one now.

Yeah. On the one hand, it's nice because I use it for my long distance calls. On the other hand, I kind of like the old days - pre-1995 where cell phones weren't prevalent.

I can't imagine having a cell phone when I was in college (early 90s) - that would have sucked.

I don't have a land line - only have my cell phone. I currently use Verizon since I get a discount from work.

My only number is my personal cell. I also have a Nextel from work. I hate it.

I have a cell and land line.

My cell is VirginMobile. I rarely need to use a cell but thought about possible emergencies where it would come in handy. But since I rarely use it, the plan I have only costs $15... every 3 months. My minutes rollover so I have a butt-load of time to use. Not bad for $5 a month

i have, so far, resisted the cell phone. actually my resistance doesnt require much effort, i really see no reason to get one.

cell phones are turbo annoying, its amazing that everyone can walk and talk, on their phones, at the same time....i wasnt aware how advanced of a society we were.

i hate when im talking to someone and their phone keeps going off. or phones at the movies.....its just weird when some cro-magnons' phone goes off and the ring tone is the fur elis, im like Who is this character trying to kid.

I had one in college in 1999, but got rid of it when I moved. My girlfriend in 2003 worked for Sprint, so she got me a phone that she paid for. After we broke up, I kept the phone under my name for about a year. 8 months ago, I got rid of my cell phone again.

I'm happier than I have been when I had a cell phone. If I need to make a long distance call, and I'm not at work, I'll use the girlfriend's cell. That's pretty rare, though.

Yes and my work pays for it. When the iPhone comes out I will switch to that.
If it was on my dime I would not have one at all, I think cell phone prices are ridiculous.
