Not sure. Probably go out with some friends. Thankfully, this sees to the end of the five week stretch with three holidays that make you feel bad not to be in a relationship. Of course, there's Valentine's Day on the horizon, but whatever.

Planned on going to the Space Needle with a girl I'm interested in and then she got strep throat. Still will go but probably not with her unless she gets better quickly.

NYE has historically (once I moved to the US) been the least thrilling of all holidays and on multiple times it's been one of the worst non-work days of the year.
This year I'm going to a pretty nice seafood place in town that has a band and an open bar from 9:30pm to close. For $30 that's not bad, considering most drinks there are $6-$7. Not looking to really make it a big night. I'll be asleep by standard weekend time (before 2).

I rarely do anything on New Year's Eve anymore. When I was in a relationship, my partner and I usually invited another couple or two to join us and spend the night (so they didn't have to risk the roads). We'd watch movies and socialize, and I always made the same meal: fettucine Alfredo and shrimp scampi. It was fun, but it was also a lot of work.
Usually I spend New Year's Eve alone, reading or watching movies. I imagine that's what I will do this year as well.

The last couple of years I've pretty much spent the night away sleeping. Although, last year, I drove to downtown Chicago at around 1130, saw the fireworks (from the car) and was back at home and in bed by 1230.
I'll just stay home this year. What would be a good movie to watch?

None. I've never been a big New Year's Eve person, although New Year's Day is nice with college football (mainly the Rose Bowl) and hoops. At least there is an NFL game NYE this year - hopefully it means something.

I just hope I can make it to 3, or 4 or 5 in the morning. Gotta get some sleep on Sunday afternoon.
Did you purchase tickets yet? If not, use the coupon code BIRDY if you order online. You'll get $5 off.

My gf is coming over and we invited another couple over. We originally thought we'd play some Nintendo DS Lite, but now that the Bears/Packers game moved to 7:15pm, that will take up the majority of the evening.....
