That's pretty much it... oh, throw in some eating in there :)

Kittydreamer 12-27-06 08:31 PM

I'll go to bed at 8 or 9...the usual.

FantasticVSDoom 12-27-06 08:33 PM

Not a thing...Im such a loser. The wife and I will probably be packing for our move the following week.

Rypro 525 12-27-06 11:22 PM

Rock and Bowl with 3 friends of mine (2 chicks and a boyfriend) but i don't see me getting laid that night)

Mercury&Solace 12-28-06 01:11 AM

Football and drink....alone.

Al Padrino 12-28-06 01:41 AM

Not sure. Probably go out with some friends. Thankfully, this sees to the end of the five week stretch with three holidays that make you feel bad not to be in a relationship. Of course, there's Valentine's Day on the horizon, but whatever.

antennaball 12-28-06 03:14 AM

Thanks to mandatory OT, I'll be working New Year's Eve, on my regular day off. Grrr.

Nesbit 12-28-06 06:46 AM

Planned on going to the Space Needle with a girl I'm interested in and then she got strep throat. Still will go but probably not with her unless she gets better quickly.

Abelkems 12-28-06 07:15 AM

Fall asleep on the couch at 11:55.

EdTheRipper 12-28-06 07:18 AM

I've got no plans. But then, I've never really treated New Year's as anything more than an ordinary day anyway.

Brian Shannon 12-28-06 07:21 AM

Stay home, eat dinner, go to bed.

Just another day of the week.

ellone 12-28-06 07:51 AM

Bf will be making me dinner New Year's Eve. New Year's Day we're going to a casino with his brother and his gf.

Tracer Bullet 12-28-06 08:31 AM

Probably nothing. Unpack some more boxes, maybe.

grrrah 12-28-06 08:40 AM

zuffy 12-28-06 08:47 AM

No plan, so nothing.

The Bus 12-28-06 08:48 AM

NYE has historically (once I moved to the US) been the least thrilling of all holidays and on multiple times it's been one of the worst non-work days of the year.

This year I'm going to a pretty nice seafood place in town that has a band and an open bar from 9:30pm to close. For $30 that's not bad, considering most drinks there are $6-$7. Not looking to really make it a big night. I'll be asleep by standard weekend time (before 2).

Vibiana 12-28-06 08:56 AM

I rarely do anything on New Year's Eve anymore. When I was in a relationship, my partner and I usually invited another couple or two to join us and spend the night (so they didn't have to risk the roads). We'd watch movies and socialize, and I always made the same meal: fettucine Alfredo and shrimp scampi. It was fun, but it was also a lot of work.

Usually I spend New Year's Eve alone, reading or watching movies. I imagine that's what I will do this year as well.

DVD.guy 12-28-06 09:12 AM

The last couple of years I've pretty much spent the night away sleeping. Although, last year, I drove to downtown Chicago at around 1130, saw the fireworks (from the car) and was back at home and in bed by 1230.

I'll just stay home this year. What would be a good movie to watch?

I always watch old movies on New Year's Eve, like "It's a Wonderful Life" or "The Best Years of Our Lives."

Red Dog 12-28-06 10:04 AM

None. I've never been a big New Year's Eve person, although New Year's Day is nice with college football (mainly the Rose Bowl) and hoops. At least there is an NFL game NYE this year - hopefully it means something.

Quake1028 12-28-06 10:16 AM

NYE: Football, poker tournament with friends and family, drinks, food, fun night :)

NYD: All the football I can watch, lots of food and more drinks

I've been wanting to go to a Rave my whole life and I'm not getting any younger (45), so now's the time to do it. $90 is a lot, but they have some of my favorite DJs there and 3 dance tents, so I know I will have a hard time deciding which tent to go to.

I just hope I can make it to 3, or 4 or 5 in the morning. Gotta get some sleep on Sunday afternoon.

Did you purchase tickets yet? If not, use the coupon code BIRDY if you order online. You'll get $5 off.

You are 45 and you want to go to a RAVE?! Most ravers are what .... 21/22/23? They will think you are a cop.

My gf is coming over and we invited another couple over. We originally thought we'd play some Nintendo DS Lite, but now that the Bears/Packers game moved to 7:15pm, that will take up the majority of the evening.....
