Betting On A Sports Exchange

So www.mansion.com allows poker and sports exchange betting to US players....anyone used the Sports Exchange before? From my understand, people lay bets, and other people take them. The 'seller' pays .5% to the house (i think) and you go from there.

I'm looking for some feedback on the pros/cons of this setup.

It's basically a stock market for sports. Shares are bought and sold in real time while games are going on or before the game when new information gets revealed (such as a starting QB not playing).

For instance, if the Mets put up 9 runs in an inning, their share price would skyrocket since they now have hte best chance to win the game.

To me, it's a waste of time. Just sportsbook it up elsewhere.

I figured the stock market analogy, but does it pay out the same? I'm a bit confused about that part. I'm hoping my picks work out on my other site, so i'd have something to work with. I'll probably just pull my money from mansion.
