Under Cabinet NETWORK Media Player - Such a Thing?

I am looking for a device and not sure if they make what I'm wanting. I've been googling for about an hour and can't seem to find it. If they don't make this, they should.

What I want is a network media player that attaches to the bottom of a cabinet similar to those cd player / radio ones (like this).

I do not have an Ipod. I want this thing to be wifi and be able to play my mp3's from my PC. I also want it to have it's own speakers.

Am I in a dream world or is there something like this?

Hmm...sounds like something I might like, as well - for the right price.

Find one of those with audio inputs and plug this guy into it. Of course you'd still have to control it from the PC (except for the volume).

So, for now AFAIK you're in a dream world. IF there was a device that had playlist controls (so it has a screen that interfaces with your PC), had built-in Wi-Fi, and had decent sound quality, I would be amazed to see it for less than $999.

Another option is just to wire your kitchen with speakers.

Well the closest thing I'm finding is the Roku Soundbridge M500/M1000/M1001 line.

It has an add on for cabinet mounting and the only thing it doesn't have is build in speakers. Price is $200 MSRP but cheaper on fleabay.

Similiar to the Roku, but no speakers, more expensive, and no under cabinet mounting.

On second thought, why did I even bring it up?

Oh, it kicks ass.

get the roku and a pair of powered computer speakers.
run the wire from the speakers either behind the cabinets or on the isde of them. there is usually some dead space to get them from under to the top of the cabinets.
put the speakers above the cabinets and no one will really see them.
