Holy crap it snowed last night!

About a 1/4 of an inch. It's also about 30 degrees. In the middle of October!
That is all.

It is in the high 80's and sunny here. I'd actually want the snow. I miss being able to wear a coat and smell the crisp air. Stupid fl.

I like the chilly weather we have here. I talked to my dad, who lives on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and it snowed last night there. Just a little. Supposed to get down to below freezing tonight.

Dude....that's cold!! I try to explain to people that if it is 85 during the day, and 65 at night, that is a TWENTY DEGREE difference, and you are freezing. In the winter time it gets into the high 50's and low 60's and i'm putting on a light jacket. It is quite sad. I know if it was dec. and it was in the high 50's, people would be out in shorts and a t-shirt.

20 degree difference is not that big a delta. That's not that unusual. For example, check out the following High, Low (Delta):

NYC: High 70, Low 46 (Delta 24)
Glendale, CA: High 76, Low 55 (Delta 21)
Austin, TX: High 92, Low 59 (Delta 33)
Seattle, WA: High 73, Low 50 (Delta 23)
Jacksonville, FL: High 86, Low 61 (Delta 25)

Yes, I'm just pointing out cities with >20 delta, but the point is that cities all over the country experience that. Here in NYC, 46 degrees (even with the 24 degree drop) doesn't feel that cold. I lived 4 years in Redlands, CA where the delta was often >30 degrees, and it still didn't feel that cold.

Whenever I want to see snow I simply drive down the street and look at the paint on the Matterhorn.

It actually covered the grass completely here this morning. All cars were covered too.

It's all gone now, though.

So did La Crosse but luckily it all went away. Unluckily, it's still in the low 30's.

word from work (yeah, I checked my work email while on vacation) is that Buffalo has about a foot already
I made sure to email them a pic of the view from the fort at St Augustine and rub it in that it is in the 80s here

Snowed in Chicago today -- it didn't stick though.

When I mentioned that it was snowing, probably 3/4ths of my floor went to the window like they'd never seen snow before.

Snowing right now in Rochester. Early even for us. Not unusual to get some before Halloween but this is ridiculous. It won't stick but it made walking the dogs less than fun tonight. My golf clubs are still in the car and I plan on using them a few more times before I put them away.

Snowed here in Chicago this morning - looks like it could again tonight. I, for one, am quite happy. I've got that Polish blood running through my veins and I do love the cold winter (until January when I want Summer to come).

I love snow. Wish I was where you people are at. Got a new snow shovel last year and only had a couple of dustings and some slush/ice.
