Which is worse: mullet or combover? I've seen some pretty awful looking combovers in my day. They seem to put you in a siren-like trance for some reason.

I had one for about a year in high school, late 80's. I think it's now reserved for lesbians and rednecks. Or maybe redneck lesbians.

You don't see too many mullets around here except on folks riding in the back of pickup trucks with confederate flags proudly waving.

I've often wondered what you mullet people ask for when you go to the local hair cuttery. Do you just staright out ask for a mullet or do you just say trim the sides and keep it long in the back?

Bono invested the mullet, so let's lay off the redneck stuff. We rednecks are just US fanatics.

I used to have one in the 80's, not a real true mullet since the back just barely went below my collar.

My nick on a lesbian site I used to frequent was "Mullet Hater."

If not for the lesbian community, the mullet would have long ago sunk into the fashion oblivion which it so richly deserves.

Still, lesbians with combovers are even worse.

Late 90s???? That hairstyle was already several years out of style by then!

I had a mullet in 1987 or so, but only for a year.

I had one in the mid 80's and my vote goes to Paul McCartney for inventing it in the 70's.

Question about the mullet...Was it always known as the mullet? I had one in 90 when I was in 9th and 10th grade but didnt hear the term mullet until a few years ago.

I caught one this past weekend at the Penguins-Red Wings game (in Pittsburgh)...luckily I had a decent zoom on the camera...

Just to confirm, that sucker was fresh cut, and the guy was wearing a Canadian Tuxedo (blue denim shirt, blue jeans)...and to top it off bright white nike hi-tops. I almost pissed myself laughing.
