Tips for Exhaustion

Got a really loaded week and wondering what are some tips for battling exhaustion.

Schedule is:
Wake up at 2:25am
At work at 3:15am
Off work at 4:30pm start moving to new appartment/cleaning old house
Stop moving at 8pm
Fall asleep at around 8:30

Only doing this till Thursday but it is kicking my ass and it is only Tuesday afternoon.

Any tips?

Something's got to give. Try any or all of these:
  • Reducing your work hours
  • Taking the next two days off completely
  • Hire a mover
  • Hire a cleaner

Yeah, there's really nothing to do but trudge through it, or eliminate something from the schedule.

Really can't afford it which I know sounds like BS but it isn't.
I'm looking for a Krameresque plan.

You can't afford to take two days annual leave? If that's the case, use sick leave. Just tell your boss you're having "woman troubles" and he won't ask anymore questions.

I have plenty of PTO but if I take that my overtime wont be paid as overtime and I need that money. Divorce, getting stuff for the new house that the ex took, deposit, etc.

Ya know I never thought I would do crystal meth again in my life. No desire to what so ever but if someone offered me some that would last me a few days it would be a tough choice.

Make sure you're eating high-quality food. Take naps if you can. Other than that...

I read somewhere that dehydration is the chief cause of daytime fatigue.

Hydrate, hydrate then hydrate some more.

AT critical moments, Monster energy drink can be your friend. Just don't take it close to what little sleep time you have. Probably around 11 a.m.-noon on your schedule. That might help get you thru a couple of days.

You're getting 6 hours of sleep. Unless your work is digging ditches, you should be nowhere near exhaustion. Tired, maybe, but not exhausted.

I used to get exhausted from my erratic work schedule. I find really hot showers before bedtime help a lot.

Gave up on the overtime for the rest of the week. Will give me an extra 3 hours for moving/sleeping.

I know 6 hours sounds like it should be enough but I never get more than 6 hours. I work a lot of overtime and as soon as I'm off on Thursday (my Friday) I pick up my son and have him until Sunday night. So although I usually get by on 6 hours adding the moving on was just a bit too much.

Thanks for the advice. No meth here. I have been drinking energy drinks.

Watch out for those energy drinks - make sure you drink lots of water after them.....
