Any experiences with "speed dating"?
 

So I was told about a "four-minute dating" event happening in my area tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has given speed dating a shot before. Was it worth it? They're charging $15 for the event...

What they'll do is set you up with 12-15 ppl and you sit with them for 4 minutes each. Then at the end you all write little letters to the people you liked to let them know you liked them, give them your number, etc. Then there's a "free for all" afterwards in a bar-like setting (but you've got to pay extra for drinks). It seems very, very odd way of meeting people but I'm open minded and would like to get opinions if you've been to a similar event.

tried it once with my friend a while back... it was cool but your lucky if you get a nice looking girl...

I would do it, just so I could say I've done it. I wouldn't expect much out of it, other than an experience.
