Is Vonage THIS retarded???

Ok I cannot believe the idiots at Vonage. I'm having to report my card lost due to Vonage fucking with it so many times. My bank even had a laugh:

I ordered the Vonage service on 6-30-2006 and never received the router. Well, you would think vonage would just send me a new router. Right.

WRONG!

Look at my billing account activity over the last few days. They have absolutely no goddamn clue what's going on.

I need to be a goddamn Accountant Major to understand this statement. And even then, it doesn't make sense. Any accountants in the house?

Can. I. Just. Get. A. Router. Thanks!

If this belongs in Tech Talk, then so be it.

The 'regular' numbers are debits. The numbers in brackets are credits. The balance is zero so it is all wash ... seriously that is messed up

Yeah I figured the numbers in brackets were credits. But it doesn't zero out. The first 6 lines zero out, then it all goes wacky. I told Vonage, "Hey, I just want a goddamn router. Why are you guys making so many fucked up charges to my credit card? Just send me a router and leave my card out of this mess!"

They keep calling and bugging me and I keep handing the phone to my three year old. They're about as stupid as they come.

1) If you charge someone and then immediately credit them, does that still show up as revenue?

2) If so, isn't that blatenly illegal?

I'm guessing a poorly trained customer service rep is all it is. Sucks for you, and sorry, but probably not a stock pumping conspiracy.

1) No.

2) Not sure, but I'm sure it runs afoul of general accounting principles.

You could always use that annoying PC term, "exceptional". Vonage has exceptional accounting technique.

Thank you, nodoubt.

digital - yes, I think it's overly PC to try to remove the word "retarded" from conversation.

Do you know something? I have Vonage and while I'm not "happy" with the service (calls cut out occassionally and there is often an annoying echo) I don't want to lose my numbers and I do like the price.
