Credit Cards

Is there any particular reason why my credit card company would send me a new card just a few months after I already received a new card? I was sent one in February that expires 3/10, and this one expires 1/11. Did someone try to scam me with getting an additional card sent out and not steal it properly?

It's been half an hour since you posted this. How long do you think you would spend on hold?

As opposed to an accurate one? Call your credit card company.

Maybe they've added a security feature to the new one.

Did the bank change names?

All of Bank One's card members got new card when Chase took them over.

But there is definitely a chance someone tried ordering a replacement car don your info, and it automatically sent to your residence. Did the card include a letter stating "here is the replacement card you requested?" Is the card number different or the same?

Do not delay-call them now.

You'll need the 3 digit number on the back too just to be secure. Post that too.

Yup. I had that. I actually just talked to them about a missing credit. I think my account is flagged or something because in the course of 3-4 months, I had my card stolen/lost twice. A cabbie stole it one night (I was very uhm...not aware at the time), and the other time it dissapeared on a road trip with my wallet. I'm pretty sure it fell out of my pocket in the rental car and walked.

Also the mystery has been solved without calling them.

Ah, yes. They have some new points program (it was Capital One). This information was hidden beneath the sticker you're not suppossed to take off until after you activate the card. I took it off.
