What is a hard Lego system?

Looking for a hard-to-build, many-small pieces Lego System (i.e. K'nex, regular Legos, etc). Ideas?

Speaking of Lego stuff, I found this really cool program on their site a while back...
Lego Design Software page
Basically, it lets you use a huge amount of Legos to virtually build about anything. You can then order a custom set of Legos containing all the parts necessary to bring your creation to life, along with step-by-step instructions on how to construct it. It could make for a pretty cool party favor or gift.

Maybe GD would enjoy the White Stripes video for inspiration?

Have you visited a LEGO store? They have some cool ideas. I posted some pix in my Chicago thread last summer.
