Two eyes for an eye self defense

Bas Rutten gives the most informative and entertaining 6 minute self defense demonstration I think I've ever seen.

I've always said a head for an eye. The defender has all rights. Circumvent by not attacking. (and learn how to punch, in case the offending wall is so noncholant as to remain stationary.)

Yeah. I have a feeling the guy in the red shirt was walking funny the next day.

It works on so many Star Trek levels.

So, do I need to make the "bahng" and "boom" noises when hitting someone?

"He's trying to kill me, now I return the favor."
"It's starting time again."

This guy rocks.

Yes, it's like tennis nowadays; if you don't make some noise, you don't really mean it.

I'll be right back, I'm going to start a fight with someone.

You can actually get the full hour and 45 minute video online. My friend downloaded a file simply called "Martial Arts" thinking it would be Jeet Kun Do or Akido, and low and behold, there was Bas Rutten. I don't think I had laughed so hard in years. This video, as funny as it is, shows just a fraction of the comedy in the full length. If you want to see more, I HIGHLY recommend you look around for it. The full title is "Bas Rutten's Lethal Self Defense"

Nice.

There are actually some pretty effective self-defense moves in between all the comedy there.

Hey, I hadn't heard about this until now!

In May of 2006, Bas announced his return to MMA competition. Cleared by doctors to fight again, Bas will Face Kimo Leopoldo in the World Fighting Alliance on July 22, 2006 at The Forum in Los Angeles.

It would be wise for Kimo not to wear a red shirt for that fight.

"Lethal Self Defense"
I like it.
Not only do you stop the attack, you make sure they never try it again!
