I second guess myself all the time when buying things. I've carried things around for 15-20 minutes, and then put it back.

Yes. A Pee-Wee Herman Billy Baloney doll back in the late '80s. Had it in my hand a dozen times, but never bought it. Now I'm reliving the experience on Ebay (at, of course, ten times the price). Why can't I just buy it?

I was in Costco the other day with $2000 in my pocket just drooling over the Sony KDF- E50A10. I origianlly went to see the 42" vizio plasma but decided it wasn't a big enough upgrade to spend $1500. I wanted to make sure I was getting the best price so I left the store empty handed and empty trucked.

I've forgotten about something until I was far from the store before. Looking around, I saw something I wanted but decided to pick it up before leaving. I went and did the other shopping and checked out. When I was almost home, I remembered the item. Crap!

yeah I do it all the time. I also return a ton of stuff a week or so later unused after I have buyers remorse lol. I always have a hard time justifying my purchases.

Local Toyota dealership (local for me means in another state) just got in a silver '07 FJ Cruiser and called me first. MSRP with all the options was about $2,000 more than I wanted to spend. I may regret it, but am hoping that they don't sell well.

Do it all the time with DVDs. I think of that large, unwatched pile at home and pass.

I just remind myself, that, if I really, REALLY want another item to clutter up my house, nothing is ever really gone. Every thing you see on a store shelf eventually turns up again in the tide and flow of second hand junk. Either in a yard sale, or on eBay.

It's amazing.

You passed?! Well wife agrees 100% with me, while we could "afford" a $30,000+ car, we really only want to spend $20,000. Tho she has one request, she really wants a powered moon roof! So for that money, new with moon roof, looking...

Civic EX
Mazda3 S touring w/moonroof (hatchback)

But still looking. Hope to go drive the Mazda this week

Many years ago I saw a piece of artwork that for some reason I really liked. It was relatively cheap as compared to some of the other artwork i've purchased in the past but I didn't buy it because I was told I would be able to get the same piece elsewhere for less money. Turns out that elsewhere was nowhere, and when I went back to get the painting it was gone. I'm still looking for it.

Yeah I do it a lot. Today I had an XBOX 360 bundle in my hands at Costco, and put it back.

Saw a console table at Pottery Barn marked down about 40% the other day because it was a floor model. There was only one. Should have bought it. First I wanted to go home and measure the area I was going to put it, but when I called back to reserve the table it was already gone. Urgh.

If you had 41 reasons not to buy it, did you really want it in the first place?

I recently had my hands on a Japanese copy of Disney's "Melody Time" laserdisc that was selling for $5.99 (in truly great shape) and I didn't buy it because (somewhere way in the back of my mind) I heard Treesa saying, "You don't need that! You've already got the DVD!", and agreed with it, but later found out that the Japanese laserdisc contained the only available uncensored cigarette smoking version of Pacos Bill.

When I went back it was gone.

WHAT AN IDIOT!!!

(...anyone know of a smilie that kicks itself in the arse? )

Yet another example of the one that I LET get away...

However...ALL IS NOT LOST! No sirree-bob!

I bought a laserdisc copy of Let It Be for the very same price a few days later, so I felt a teenie bit better.

(...but to this day, it still stings...)

-Paul

I'll always "sleep on it". Very rarely do I have the money for something, want something, and then actually buy it that day. I'll always be planning on getting something for a while, but never buy it. Then, one day out of the blue, I'll go and buy it. Most people think it was a quick decision, but I've been thinking about it for a month or so.

Absolutely. All the time.

It's just a matter of prioritising though. I want an XBox 360, and I hve the case, but I don't intend on getting one. Similarly, I also want a 42" plasma/LCD television, and while I have the money, don't plan on getting one (just yet).

If I bought everything I wanted, I'd have no money
