Help me plan a weekend in Atlantic City (June)

I ended up getting tickets for the Tarver/Hopkins fight on june 10. The fight is being held at "bordwalk hall" in atlantic city. I was wondering where the best place to stay (and well gamble as well) in that general area. Also for a fight weekend, would now be the best time to make hotel arrangements. Since I'm in md, it shouldn't be too bad of a drive.
Thanks for the help.

Borgata is hands down the nicest hotel/casino in AC. It is seperate from the boardwalk in what is known as the Marina area, but it is draws a good crowd and is more like a Vegas casino than the typical AC casino. AC is a dump compared to Vegas so there is little advantage to stay on the boardwalk becasuse you are probably going to want to drive, take a cab or use a free shuttle to go from casino to casino anyway. Borgata can be pretty expensive so with that said, if you are looking for a decent place but cheaper I would try Harrah's, Tropicana or Bally's. If you are looking for the best on the boardwalk, albeit expensive, try the Taj or Caesars.

I would definately book ASAP for a fight weekend, meaning now. Also when in town do yourself a favor and go to the White House Sub Shop. If you take the AC expressway into town it would be your second right after you cross the bridge into AC, about one block into the ghetto. They are hands down the best cheesesteak you will ever have. They are pretty small so you will have to wait for a table, but they are very popular with the celebrity crowd and the police force so it's a pretty safe part of town.
