Sakura-Con Seattle 24, 25, 26

Anyone else besides me going to the Sakura-con? For those of you not in the know sakura-con is a decepticon base that transforms into a robot dinosaur. Hundreds or maybe 2 people will be there to see all the action. There will be movies, things to buy, cos play. I'm going dress up as the Red Baron. Not the man but his plane. I'll be a biplane transformer.

If you have a bunch of money in your pocket and live in seattle and like anime you should go. Maybe you'll see me there and then you can say "I met me a real black person, just like on the cosby show". Now wouldn't that be nice? I should be easy to spot. I'll be the big black guy surrounded by Asians and nerdy white folk.

You can read more about Sakura-Con here http://www.sakuracon.org/index.php?langset=e

I believe nerdy is redundant with "dressing as a transformer"

No, no. Only the "other" people at these kind of events are nerds. "You" never are.

Actually I was saw "Wizard's world" (it's a comic book convention) at the L.A. Convention center last weekend and the nerd in me really wanted to go in and look around.. However the Jew in me didn't want to pay $25 for a stupid ticket just to look around. That's the problem with being half Jewish and half Nerd.. lots of stuff I want that I won't buy

Fur-Con makes this convention look like a frat party!

I'd be interested in seeing the talent of some of the people involved, but it definately isn't mainstream stuff.

I heard a new term for a sub-group within furries.... Fur-verts. It made me crack up. Seriously though, I was talking to a colleague that has done fetish research.

Now, you see, that just confuses me. You of all people should be into that kind of thing, no?
