Hangover Remedies.....

So what does everyone do?? I don't drink that much anymore, so I don't have my regimen (sp?) anymore. I had a bender last night to cap off my b=day weekend and now i'm wishing I had something around.

So...what do you do to help stave off a hangover?

There are all sorts of pills now... suposedly they actually work but I've never heard that first-hand.

I just always drink a ton of water before bed. The next day I've never found anything that really helps except greasy foods. Water is harder to drink when you already have the hangover as well, but it's what you really need.

i use to do the following, and it worked out great:

-water
-chaser in the shower (not the best idea, but it seemed to work)
-banana
-greasy omlette w/bacon, sausage, etc
-bagel
-gatorade mixed with ice water

I had a client who had the best stuff ever for a hangover (it was a compound she developed that would bond with electrolytes and etc to get it into your body quicker and more efficiently).,,,,it tasted like ass b/c it was still in development, but worked like a champ.

I'm a lightweight, but even when I drink to the point of becoming ill, I haven't really had a harsh hangover if I drank plenty of water before passing out for the evening.

...I'm kinda wishing I'd taken this advice last night...

Drink a Gatorade before going to bed, then drink another one when you wake up. Works every time.

The pills prevent the hangover, not cure it. All of my professional musician pals (read: hard drinking and partying every single night) drink Pedialyte the next day.

I don't think you can cure hangovers once you get past 25.

They just stick the fuck around reminding you that you aren't 21 anymore.

If I can't just take a couple of sleeping pills in the morning to sleep it off, I'll do the following:

Water the night of drinking.
Water bottle next to the bed with some Excedrin for when I wake up.
Greasy/spicy food. I usually have some green chili in the freezer for times like these.
A soda for later in the day when I need some caffeine.
Water all day long.

I've tried different pills, and either they don't work, or I was going to have one hell of a hangover without.

Or, I'll start drinking again. Staying active is the best, as it keeps my mind off of the pain.
