Looking for help with Photoshop and text (monkey picture included)

I know most photoshop threads are about making funny picture funnier, but I need some educating.

I'm trying to fill irregular shaped areas with type, so it seems there should be a way to create text bounding borders using masks or paths, but I can't figure out how to make that happen. For instance:

Is something like this even possible with Photoshop?

Photoshop is not the right tool to use for this.
