In another thread, I made mention of how Star Jones looks totally weird since she had her 'cosmetic' surgery to help lose weight. I think she looks way older and preferred her when she was fat and sassy.

Has anybody noticed Demi Moore's jaw since she's had all the surgery over the years? Look at her in her early film roles -- then look at what she did to herself, while she was still young -- and how grannyish she looks. The mondo dentures, the whittled chin, etc.

Why do people do this to themselves? Do they really think looking like an emaciated scarecrow is better than having a few wrinkles or love handles?

Is that what happened with Star? Dang I saw her for the first time last week and I agree it was a nightmare. I guess I dont have to feel bad that its not all loose skin and rapid weightloss issues for her then.
I dont get this trend as well, two good examples is the Charlie's Angels actresses. Fonda and Ladd have always looked gorgeous and I'm sure would have looked great older but gads after seeing them on TV recently I cant believe how butchered up they are.

Because they have the notion that they can change the way their eyebrows look. I used to have mine waxed, but I have never used eyebrow pencil. It's too Joan Crawford for words.

Fox Reality was replaying the Swans as a marathon the other day, and we tivoed them. We watch one here and there when we have an extra 45 minutes or so (they added comments going into each commercial break, so each airing was 1:15).

Each time someone gets something done, it looks like they've been beaten up with a meat tenderizer for the first, what, couple weeks? Most times for the first few days, someone has to help the women get up from sitting, etc.

I tell my wife each time that she is beautiful, and should never considering doing something as painful as that looks just for appearance sake.

And it's not just the ladies anymore. I had a male roommate a few years ago that had his nose done, then a few weeks after, he had his ears done AND braces put it. And this guy was really cute to start with! The surgery went fine, but I think it didn't fix what was in need of it the most: his self-confidence.
