looking for a good table base

is that what they are called?

basically i have a nice 3x5 glass table top but im looking for a nice bottom to go with it. it would be for a kitchen table. any good sites or stores that sell stuff like that? ive tried pier 1 and ikea but they didnt really have much. any ideas?

Oh, for the good old days when you could have your buddy at the phone company steal a cable spool for this purpose.

My best friend has a glass topped table like that. I think she bought it at a department store, like Dillards. You might check someplace like that.

I saw some nice wooden ones at Wal-Mart the other day for $10. Great for a side-table or a couple for a coffee table. Seemed a bit small for a glass one.
